Sweet tooth, sharp soothe, still bruised Short bangs with fangs, wild mama sang Slow brew love stew Thick with roux Tante Pill oil spill Save just what you can Grainseed nosebleed Never gave a damn Love seed new breed She said “I said god damn’ God damn.
2.
When we sit on the stoop Of the bar with our cigarette I can’t wait til it is our backyard And we’re clean of all this mess And oh! When I hold you And you tell me ‘I know.” Well I really know I love you It's so simple so easy Despite all of these complexities I can’t speak for you But I been ramblin’ since I was two I’ll always be your ramblin’ companion And you can join me out There when you can Ooooh I know you U already know I love you

Cinderelli dressed in jelly Mama Falaya’s miracle swoon Slightly toasted on the levee Underneath that harvest moon Star-crossed lovers fingers crossed Patient ears with toil to mend Gently swayin thru the waltz Neither wants that night to end And Oh My Darlin Oh My Friend Tell me this will never ever end Spirits blend with one ambition Whispered lyrics build the tension As we spin in foot-formed fictions Of us dancin’ bare in the kitchen Creatures warm in the glowing sun Gazing on the love we’ve spun Home would grow throughout the years Lead us to our final tears Well Oh My Darlin Oh my friend Tell me this will never ever end Said oh my darlin Oh my friend Tell me this will never ever end We’ll make trust and space Our saving grace With a consummated faith We’ll make trust and space Our saving grace With a consummated faith But ever after never ends What am I but just another? Is the fate of every prince To become the next stepmother? So leave before you turn to gourd My cypress knee buried before Your faith and All that you adore To be your toad forevermore Cinderelli dressed in jelly Mama Falaya’s miracle swoon

Lay It Low 01:15
I get aproached I lay it low Finding some strength or some confidence The truth is that In your absence I live with sadness as much as i try to keep it hid Feigning fondness for my company But blanking out until they notice I and obnoxiously blindly but blatantly in In love with you
5.
Over It 04:03
I saw you When you were over the other shoe You flashed me your silk moonlight But you were into it at night Oh lord the games we play When there is meaning in every stage You can sing soliloquies But you tempted me with your shake-y weight Curving your spine between my grip We worked it our on the nightshift Silently and patiently we sneezed beneath that oak tree In the night You were all mine But in day time You are over it Now you miss her Want to kiss her She is over it We've been over this before When is over really over? When is over really over? I don’t mind getting left behind As long as you remind Yourself to fall in line Tonight I loved you When you were over the other shoe You flashed me your silk moonlight But you were into it at night

Infinite love has its limits Takes a balance of the intimate We build and we break We give and we take I’d give you my everything But you know what’s at stake (The rivers and the lakes) We’ve both been thru the mud Ain't gonna repeat the same mistakes Queer blue hue Which will see us thru No matter what they say Or whatever the case I can feel you thru the things Nobody else can erase Our spirits do swoon In a golden dusted queer blue hue Intimate love is big business Inflates til the market crashes I love you too much to see us fall in love Cuz everything that goes up Must come down from above So be careful to lose But I’ll see ya in that Queer blue hue Queer blue hue Which will see us thru No matter what they say Or whatever the case I can feel you thru the things Nobody else can erase Our spirits do swoon In a golden dusted queer blue hue

Full stop enabled I’ve been fairytaled and fabling Retardation of decay Teach the predator to pray for us Fortune cookie fixations limit lasting relations I can see more dimensions from a safer distance Reinvest in the value of satisfyin’ our friendship Oh mais yeah! So now I’ll spin around lookin to clown without That little frown that lonesome love had found Was it on the ground? Did it fall from one of our mouths? No patronizing pantomiming Just full support And proper timing But you know about those times When your head gets jumbled up And you feet feel old And you can’t get up And you can’t stop ramblin’ Makes no sense Full momentum No abandon Everything is really what it isn’t Wreckless psychotropic fantasy Was it you or me (it was) me Nowhere to go for more than one day No one to love and nothing to say Man i was caught up in that bad way What can I say? Something about the way that we click Makes it easy to imagine Us escaping the emperor’s counterfeit Thru some slit But delirium never ends Yeah the system is still rigged Too many of our heroes are dying too quick
8.
Checkmate 03:22
You bit my wrist with eloquence I bit lip in neglegence So strange to sense a medicine In another bein’s pressence We barely know each other but my longing sleeps uncovered I couldn’t even want another Milk my descrated lover He sings silence to my face I am tired of disgrace I am tired of disgrace Oh disgrace, Oh disgrace I am disgrace. Will you hold my truth in check And lay on this gruesome chest Knight my bishop, rook my queen Cut my king in checkmate please Cut my king in checkmate please Oh Checkmate Oh Checkmate
9.
Snakeskin 02:20
We are not what we’ve done But are just bags of intuition The snakeskin It crawls off right before all is lost I’ve seen the worst of myself In the street poets when they're off the clock I’ve seen the best of me when we’re skinny dippin' Thru the swamp all night But that was just a dream or an analogy Imagine all the critters in ever nook and cranny Mosquito bites in places we’ve never seen Oh but you know what i mean I ain’t been the same since we came clean Forever is a spectrum so I will wait forever For us to be together forever ever ever Meanwhile tequila heals us Just like Jesus Would if he could

about

To Make At Last Love Last is a record about understanding balance and boundaries, respecting and fostering safe spaces, dismantling gendered love language and expectations… It's about a rambler finally wanting a home, and trying to slow down. Its about a queer cajun coming back to South Louisiana and navigating the contradictions of tradition. It's about pinpointing repeating patterns and trying to filter them into positive love and open communication. It's about a clown turning your frown upside down. It's a self-reflection projection during a difficult trajectory.

To Make At Last Love Last is to honor its boundaries and idiosyncrasies. One must relish in the wonderful moments and remember the lessons of simple beauty. When confronting jealousy, one must examine oneself before projecting blame or discomfort. You can ebb and flow with the feelings of interactions, and then watch them crystalize into memories and fantastical story-telling. A dance can lead to Foot-formed Fictions. Little white lies that can fade away with the night. The repetition comes in reminding you to let go of it, because you never had a good grasp in the first place. But inexplicable connections remain like static electricity building up in the air. A sound or a smell can bring the whole big fantasy back like an acid flashback. Reaching out only makes it disappear even quicker. Best to sit in silence and soak it in while the fever dream has a little lemon left to squeeze.
